What is included within the car rental rate?

We recommend that you check exactly what is included with the vehicle during the booking process before making a reservation. What is included can vary between car categories, our suppliers and car hire locations. Insurance excesses will apply just like any standard motor policy although waivers are also available.
How old do I need to be to rent a car in Houston?
The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years old. However, most of the car categories shown will only be available to those who are aged over 25. At select rental locations, young drivers may be allowed subject to a surcharge for those who are aged between 21 and 24 years old (on average this is around $15 per day). This can be checked during the booking process by clicking the 'Age Restrictions' link and is normally payable when you collect the vehicle. Whilst we try our hardest to offer appropriate vehicles during the search process, with the inclusion of an age verification step, we recommend that you double check with your chosen rental supplier if you are under 25 years of age to avoid any confusion.

When do you take payment?

We process any payments made on our website using secure encryption and can accept most major credit or debit cards. Please note that certain products including young driver surcharges are paid at time of collection.
What documents do I need to present when I collect my rental car?
When you arrive at your chosen car rental location in Houston you will be asked to show your driving license (please present all parts of your driving license whether it is a US, Canadian, British, European or International license). You will also need to present a minimum of two types of identification which show your current address along with one other form of photographic identification (e.g - a bank statement, a utility bill and your passport). In addition, you must bring a valid credit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express) in your name which will be used to pay for the rental and take a security hold for the car when you collect it. Is it possible to have an additional driver on the vehicle?
Yes, you can add an additional driver to your rental vehicle (usually at extra cost). You can choose to do this during the booking process on our website or when you come to collect the car at your chosen rental location in Houston. However, please note that any additional drivers must meet the same criteria as the lead driver of the vehicle (age and valid license along with identification requirements as noted above).
I need a GPS unit with my rental. Can you supply that?
Sure we can. All of our rental partners in Houston will be able to provide you with a GPS navigation unit to use in your vehicle (usually at extra cost). You can choose to add GPS to your rental during the booking process on our website or add it at the rental desk when you go to collect your hire car. We recommend that, if you require one, you should add a GPS unit to your rental on our website in order to avoid disappointment should the rental location not have any left.
I need to rent a car for business. Can you give me a receipt?
Yes, you will be supplied with a full receipt when you collect your rental car in Houston. In most cases, the receipt will be included with the normal paperwork that you must fill out when you collect you vehicle at the rental station.
